OOC: THE GREENHOUSE + OTHER FARM STUFF

Now featuring the GREENHOUSE, COLDFRAMES, and GARDEN/FARM!

GREENHOUSE

The greenhouse is attached to the inn and is designed something like this. It has a wooden frame and glass walls as of July 2011 the glass has been broken and is currently being repaired with dried skins.

Beans - on a trellis.
Potatoes

Herbs
Lemongrass
Parsnip
Mint - a couple of pots.
Mageroyal - one pot. info here. Edible - used to make tea and cake. Also produces dusky and verdant pigments.
Goldclover - info here. Actually growing near Thereth's croft in impressive abundance, especially in the winter. Used to make azure and icy pigments.

COLDFRAMES

Coldframes are like tiny greenhouses and are used to extend the growing season into the cold months. In November 2011, Thereth and friends went around and offered to build people their own coldframes, so that they could have their own little greenhouse/garden going in the winter. The coldframes are made from glass and wood and look like this/this. The offer of building them is still open, so if your character would like one please contact Thereth, Viktor or Jalyt!

Nami'd be willing to help out here! She wants to keep busy and she grew up in an orchard, and she's talking to North currently about helping out with humidity levels in the greenhouse if that's useful!

MICAH IS HERE HE WILL MAKE THIS FARM HAPPEN.

He will stay right on top of the seasons and growing what foods he can. He's very good at rotating crops and letting the land rest in order to grow the best possible produce year-round. If possible, he'll want to head the farming operations here.

viktor's croft, #67 is completely surrounded by flowers and there is a little herb garden beside his maneater plant in the 'backyard'. there is a little 'be careful' sign near the maneater plant, so if anyone wants herbs or things like that they should ask viktor first. his pet rabbit, amakusa, can be seen hopping around in the garden often. he has dumb ears.

he also has a few fruit trees/bushes here and there when he wants to plant them. those are free picking for anyone.

Jalyt has a bunch of plants in various stages of growth around her croft. If it grows in Scotland, it's probably there. She's also growing Truffula, pear, apple, and chestnut trees near her house.
