[Hello, everyone. Did you remember that Thereth has a zombie pet? Well, now you do, because here he is on the feed. He's holding a white shirt in his claw-hands, and appears to be...sniffing it. Very intently.

Thereth is off to the side, in her armor, watching him. Anyone who is very familiar with the housing in Demeleier might notice that they're outside Valeria's croft. Other than the shirt-sniffing zombie, nothing seems out of the ordinary...except that Thereth is supposed to be on patrol. Yet she remains sitting there, with the ghoul, for a few minutes. Finally she rises.]

Here. [She extends a hand to the ghoul, and it obediently gives the shirt to her, then begins to sniff the air, as though looking for the trail of a scent. The tauren turns to get her communicator, and notices that it's on. She looks at the camera without humor.]

Valeria did not show up for our Watch shift. She is not home, and I cannot reach her.

[She takes the device in one large hand and turns away, to follow the sniffing zombie, as the feed cuts out.]

Has anyone seen her recently? She might simply be distracted.

[There is a pause, and Thereth shakes her massive head.]

She is not. It is unlike her.

Then what are we sitting around here for?

[ Translation: "I'm already out the door because that's how I roll." ]

[WELL OK THEN.]

Yes. I am trying to track her now.

[Well, zombie is. Which...won't work very well. Zombies don't have much of a sense of smell.]

Is there anything ... um, unusual? [come on, satonaka, put that detective's cap back on.] Like - signs of a struggle?

No, but....[she sounds a little confused, and very thoughtful.]

She has been gone for some time. The candle on her desk has burnt to the base.

[ok, time for an uncomfortably long pause.]

She didn't ... I mean, you don't suppose she just left, do you?

Not on purpose. [Grim cow :( There's another pause.]

I believe she is still in Demeleier with us. Perhaps this is a trick of the fae.

Someone kidnapped her. [that HAD to be it.] What do we do?

[ Hey Thereth, have a somewhat nervous and scared-looking little kid.. The news is scary, but zombie pet is also pretty scary, okay. 8( ]

H-huh? Valeria-san is gone..?

[the little voice on her feed makes her stop for a moment. Little bb...she tilts her head forward.]

I am looking for her now, little one.

[Don't be scared...]

Will you keep watch for her?

Uh-huh.. I'll help look in the village, if I have to! [ She's still worried, though.. ] Maybe she fell asleep somewhere without us knowing.

[a-awww...]

Perhaps she did. I will have to scold her for not telling me.

[Val is her little sister, so. Yeah.]

Just stay by the window for now. Perhaps she will pass by.

By the window, huh..?

[ She thinks a moment, but then nods. ]

I-I promise to do my best to watch if she passes by! I'll tell you if she does..!

Thank you, little one. I will tell you if we find her first.

Missing people, hu? Sounds like you need some help, pretty lady.

[O Dante. She doesn't quite smile, because this is serious, but she does seem to appreciate it.]

[It's not really a 'perhaps' as much as a 'GOOD TO HAVE YOU SHEIK ZOMBIE DOESNT KNOW WHAT HES DOIN'.]

[He starts to panic. There are too many uncertainties, too many what ifs, and his brain keeps homing in on all the ones he could have prevented, could have stopped - what if adachi is back, he thinks, and he’s two steps away from running out that door himself.

He stops. He calms, and steels himself, and thinks. He has to think. He knows he can’t go out hunting, but he can’t sit idly by, either.]

Is her wolf there?

He isn't. I even called for him.

[A little thoughtfully...]

The candle at her desk...it burned out. Cool to the touch.

…It’s possible that she’s went home again. If she’s here… Geri will show up somewhere.

What about her rowan crown, and her iron? Are those in there?

I have her crown. But her weapons are gone.

[So...not...sure.]

[His frown deepens.]

It’s not like her to go out without her crown. Something must have taken her by surprise.

Yes....and I believe it has been some time since then.

[....8( ]

Please keep watch in the village with Nanako.

[He doesn't want to.

[Schneizel's face is set in a frown. It wouldn't be too surprising if she'd just returned home again, he knows, but one can never be so careful here, especially not with recent events set as they were.]

Is there any indication of where she may have gone? Is her wolf there?

I believe she may have been gone for some time. Geri is nowhere to be seen, unless you know his whereabouts.

I’m not, unfortunately. His absence could indicate that she’s no longer with us… but I do not want to move to that conclusion before anything else.

This could be the work of the fae. She has been replaced by a changeling before. It’s possible that Adachi has returned, but from what we know of that situation, I doubt Valeria would be the first person he paid a visit to.

Similarly, it would be unlike her to wander unannounced. I imagine she’d have alerted someone - it would be highly unlike her to shirk such a responsibility as a watch duty… At the very least, she’d have informed you or Souji.

In this instance, I think we may assume that something has happened to her or she has returned home.

[She's silent for a moment. And another. Then she sort of - it's not a sigh as much as a...huff. Through a cow nose.]

I agree.

[pause.]

I will hope it is the former.

As will I. [He says it grave and earnest.]

If she is here to be found, we will find her. I am a poor tracker, but if I may be of assistance, please contact me.

None that I've seen, nor has she said anything indicative of this... There may well be something I've missed, however. If I find it, I shall let you know immediately.
