[This is the sound of a communicator falling into the mud sideways, the onomatopoeia of which has been deleted from this post as it looks dumb when you write it out. It will now give you a conveniently placed if rather crooked view of Thereth plodding onwards through the storm, following what appears to be a very small grey blob. If you've talked with her at the town hall, you might know this small grey blob as Willy. Anyway, we are chasing Willy as he appears frightened and confused by the storm. The tauren has followed him after he darted outside, trying to scoop him back into her arms like the mama she is. She is not having much luck.]

Willy...

[The sucking mud that the roads have become aren't helping things either. Heavy hooves are getting stuck, and she finally topples over ungracefully, now on her hands and knees. She will now try a more serious voice.]

Willy!

[And again; this time the boom of thunder drowns out her voice. And then there's a significantly louder boom, and a blinding flash of light, as everyone's favorite DK has just been struck by lightning.

She lays there smoking in the mud for a few long moments. (Spoiler: she is not dead (again).)

[That's not something you see every day. And it's actually rather amusing. Not that Medivh's going to crack a smile in public at that.]

Time for an alternative scenario, perhaps.

[Get up and move outside of the Town Hall to help? Y/N? Definitely not.]

[You have a cold heart, Medivh. No it is kind of funny. And look, she's moving. Not much, but there you have it.

Willy flits nervously by the camera.]

Thereth?

[you stupid damnable death knight! Aureln is moving now, but shedding her armour.]

Stupid, stupid - hold on!

Mother!

[Abruptly the blood elf stands up, horrified at what he's just witnesssed. Pushing himself to his feet, he races towards Aureln, watching as she removes her armor. A pause, waiting, then he's bolting past the paladin and into the rain.]

[Mama is moving a little bit now. You can stop having a heart attack, Duib. What's smoking is mostly the armor and the surface hair, which is also frizzed out impressively.

Need heals though. WTB pally bro!]

[She heads out after Duibhin, instinctively reaching out and grabbing his arm to pull him behind her. It's natural, automatic - tank always leads. The Tauren isn't too far away, and she knows these streets fairly well - it doesn't take long for them to find her.]

Thereth! Thereth, you idiot -

[But she will save the berating for now. Willy wheels closer as she held her hands out, fingers moving, weaving thin strands of glowing gold out of the murk around them. Hands laid flat over Thereth's form, she closed her eyes, tried to focus on that which did not come as easily to her. It was vital now.]

[He allows himself to be pulled behind her, but doesn't stop running, following Aureln. He can't help in the healing, and so he stands at his estranged best friend's side, staring at the tauren. Wait! He can totally help with a new potion. See him fumbling with vials, searching for a runic! Aha! There it is! It's passed to Aureln, set within reach.]

[Thereth's mind has been scrambled by the bolt. She's not entirely sure how she got here or why she's in pain and covered with mud, but she knows when her friends have her back, somewhat literally in this case. With the Light shining on her from Aureln's hands, the pain begins to ebb, and the addition of the potion allows her to lift herself up enough to make a confused noise.]

Thereth!

[Willy barrels into the screen, very upset about all of this.]

No... Thereth my pet, where are you? Can you tell me?

[I'm sorry, Prof, but all Thereth can do is wriggle in the mud. She's not too far from the hall's front door if you'd like to join the elves trying to save her.]

[Maybe you can help roll her onto her back. It's hard for her to breathe in this mud. *-* ]
